California Tour: 2nd Stop: Monterey Bay and Fresno (on our way to LV)

This is way overdue! Hahah! Too many photos and I was very lazy!

This is Day 3 of my West US trip. We will be leaving SF early in the morning to drive to Las Vegas (with a night rest at Fresno).

The morning drive was great! I was happy to leave the Cold Cold SF though. It was too cold for me! We will reach 17-mile drive where we will be seeing the famous Bird Rock, The Lone Cypress and the Pebble Beach.

After the Bird Rock, we proceeded to see the Lone Cypress... hmmm... I guess it is just a way to attract tourists and earn money! Cos I really do not see what is sooooo nice about a lone-standing...erm... TREE???

Anyway, this is the Lone Cypress.. Why are we all looking at this silly tree??? What stupid people we are!!! Hahaha!!!

It is such a silly sight!

I think cos it is 17-miles drive, the authority need to find something for us to do, so they came up with this silly "17-mile drive" tour sight, and pick sights to allow us to take photos and enjoy. Hahaha! Well, I must say the drive was nice, the sea view was great! :)

We reached Pebble beach after the Lone Cypress. There is a famous golf club there at the beach, where many big International tournaments (featuring Tiger woods and the likes).

Ok! Finally we finished the 17-mile drive and proceed our way to Monterey Bay - Cannery Row for lunch.

We went to a popular place for lunch - Fish Hopper.

My Fish and Chips!! But... no chilli. So... I lost all appetite. Sigh... And the food is salty... :(

After lunch and a walk along Cannery Row, we headed back to our bus to continue our journey to Las Vegas. We will be stopping over at a small town called Fresno for a night's sleep.

On our way to Fresno, we stopped by a small "stop-over" place for toilet breaks and rest. This place have different concepts: fruits, sweets, wine and a small game area for kids.



As Halloween was approaching, there were many pumpkins around! All waiting for customers to come and pick them up!

I was bored.. So took a few photos. Actually the place was not that fantastic. It was really just a stop for bus drivers and tourists to take toilet breaks before continuing our journey.

Anyway, was glad to continue my journey to Fresno. I guess Fresno is gonna be another boring place! :( It has been quite a boring day today!

On our boring way to Fresno...... I fell asleep most of the time... Quite a comfy journey!

Finally we reached Fresno! And guess what... It is dinner time! Time flew past!!!

You guessed right.. the food sucked!!! Super salty! Like biting into salt balls! And I saw many locals digging into the buffet food and of cos, they were at least twice my size! How can they ever put those "salt balls" into their mouth??!! Guess it is their daily diet and they have no idea how damn salty all the food are!!!

After dinner, we reached our hotel in Fresno, one of the best hotel in that town! It was only barely 8pm but the whole street was already deserted! Guess it is really a family town. Everyone is back home!

The hotel lobby was great... but what shocked me was... when I opened my door to my room.

I was alone so I was given a single room. But guess what I saw when I opened the door??

A big bed right at my door! And as it was dark, it looked very CREEPY! The bed was strapped standing up and very eerie! So I called the concerge and asked them to come take the bed away ASAP!!!

Finally they did and I can relax....

The room was great! I was tired (altho I didn't do anything!) so I had an early day cos tomorrow's gonna be a busy day! We will reach LV tomorrow! YEAH!!!
