Boracay!

This is my first trip to Boracay and I am feeling very excited. But actually I have no idea what is this place, only knew that there is a nice beach (seen photos from colleagues' facebook pics).

Never did I expect the journey to be that long!!! I thought going to Philippines should be fast and easy (just like Indonesia mah, no meh???) so I thought I can spare 1 off-day for this trip and booked 3 days trip only.... I didn't realize the trip was like... 1-full day! Yup! I was surprised!!! Hahahaha!!! Silly me!

So in the end, we only have 1 full day in Boracay, while Friday and Sunday were spent travelling! LOL... Funny lor!

We took the 12 noon flight...

And.... We reached our hotel in Boracay only 8pm at night on Friday (2 hours bus and 10min ferry)! LOL... We decided to go for a budget hotel for first day cos we knew we were there only for the night. And we had booked another better hotel for the next day, so that we can enjoy the room better.

Actually the budget hotel wasn't that bad! It was quite decent and just besides the beach anyway! So after putting down our things and freshen up a bit, we went out for dinner and drinks.

Our first dinner.... Buffet for only S$16 per pax...

As usual, mine was loaded with carbos!!

(Brenda making payment for dinner... )

Selfie at dinner table!

After dinner, we walked along the street and saw some interesting restaurants and good live bands.

After that, we decided to stop by this bar to have a drink. Cos they provide free wifi and also a good live band...

(We have table 69!!) LOL...

Good live band!

And of course, we have to try the local beer, San Miguel! Yummy!

The next day, we checked out of our hotel to move to another better one. Brenda booked The Tide, which is a boutique hotel and the location was very good, just right at D-mall, where there are lots of shops around.

Our room, 114... sounded like "starve to death" in hokkien! LOL!!! :p

The room was nicer (of course) and good breakfast too! :)

This hotel has a good pool on the top 4th floor!

Nice pool but the weather was too hot and there was basically no shades here!!

Selfie in the toilet, while putting on my bikinis... I am all ready to face the sun and beach!!!

After lazing at the pool for a while and deciding that it is too hot to be on the 4th floor (too near the sun!), we decided to go to the beach...

OMG! The beach was soooooo nice!!! :)

I usually would not want to go into the sea... But this time, I can't stop myself! The seawater was so clear that I can see my feet and whole body!!! Nice!!!

Nice!!!

After a few hours at the beach, we decided to go back to hotel to wash up and to go book our return transfer to the airport terminal.

I love the message at the shower room. So cheeky and fun! :)

All ready to go out again!!!

We took the "tuktuk" lookalike to Southwest office and booked our return transfer. Was surprised that we need to check out at 1030am so that we can make it in time for our 3.45pm flight! Wow....

Anyway, we walked back to the beach and enjoy the sunset... There was not much sun during this time... The sails were all returning... Very nice view!

Brenda decided to do her hair braiding and henna tattoos. But we didn't like the henna tattoos though. It was not done nicely. However, I think the hair was done well. Nice! I wanted to do my hair too, but I was afraid of my hair dropping (I already have thinning hair!) and also it is not nice to go to work with such hair braids...

The sun finally set... Nice view!

We decided to go back to our hotel to claim our free welcome drinks on the roof-top... We didn't expect a nice lounge-gy feeling here! It was nice!

Thereafter, we went for dinner at a Korean restaurant and loiter around the streets until midnight before heading back to pack and sleep..

The mango juice was very nice!!! :)

Bought some souvenirs - customized pens for my family and friends.. So cute!

The next day, we checked out of hotel and reached the airport terminal quite early... So we bought a rice set for lunch and nuah at the airport till our flight... Lucky for us, Tiger air was only delayed for 30min and we reached SG around 8pm!

This was a good trip! Hope to go there again, but I must at least factor 5 days for this trip! :)
